About

The Mesa Historical Museum was founded as a non-profit entity in 1966, situated on over 4 acres in the heart of Mesa’ historic Lehi neighborhood, just off the Loop 202 freeway at McKellips Road and Horne Street.  In addition to more than 80,000 objects in its collection, the Museum makes its home in the oldest standing school building in the East Valley, dating to 1914 and recognized by the National Register of Historic Places.  The museum is the recent recipient of the American Association for State and Local History’s 2008 Award of Merit, the nation’s most prestigious recognition of achievement in state and local history.
